Our Service recognises the importance of healthy eating to promote the growth and development of young children and is committed to supporting the healthy food and drink choices of children in our care.

Along with consultation with families and staff, the service cook develops a 4 week rotational menu that incorporates fresh seasonal produce and meets nutritional requirements as set by the Australian Guide to Healthy Eating and the Dietary Guidelines for Children and Adolescents. All prepared and served from our 5 star Eat Safe rated kitchen.

Our service works closely with families who have additional dietary requirements/restrictions to ensure that every child in our service has their nutritional needs met.

Lunch

Moroccan Tuna bake w/ water

Ingredients:

 pasta, tuna, peas, carrot, corn, onion, butter, flour, milk, cheese all mixed together to create a delicious pasta bake.

Indian Vegetable and chickpea Korma curry w/ couscous and water

Ingredients:

 Chick peas, onion, carrot and  potatoes with  mixed veg and assorted spices make up this delicious hearty meal served on cous cous

Italian lasagne w/  water

Ingredients:

beef mince, garlic, onion, tomatoes, oregano, tomato paste, flour, beef stock, sweet potato, spinach, layered between fresh lasagne sheets and bechamel sauce (butter, flour, cheese) and topped with cheese.

Israeli chicken lentil patties w/ salad and water

Ingredients:

Chicken mince, rice, mashed potato, eggs, soy sauce, onion, zucchini, carrots, lentils, breadcrumbs all blended together and moulded to create a patty served with lettuce, tomato, cucumber on the side

Mexican beef nachos w/ assorted salads and water

Ingredients:

Corn chips, beef mince, taco seasoning, salsa, sour cream, cheese, served with lettuce, tomato and cucumber

Afternoon Tea

Dried apricot’s, apple and pear sultanas, sliced cheese, cucumber and carrots

Turkish bread w/ hummus, cucumber and carrots

Cheese, and pumpkin scones served w/ apples and pears

Banana Cake w/ apples, pears and banana

Blueberry muffins w/ honey drizzled apple slices
